Houston Strong Pt 2: Update!
It’s been almost 4 weeks since Harvey hit our beloved city and that my first floor (rented) condo in the Heights received 7ft of flood water. I lost the majority of everything that was inside, (though I’m happy to report I saved most all clothing!!) and I’ve spent these past weeks getting life back together. During this time, the amount of love that has been poured out on me by family, friends, acquaintances, and even complete strangers has been completely overwhelming in the very best of ways. I have received so many thoughtful texts and calls from many of you—eager to help in anyway possible. Houstonians from all over (a lot I've never met!) rallied together to find me not only furniture but also cash donations to get me back on my feet. Friends ran to my aid to help clean out my destroyed home and were eager to help me move into a new one. Family & friends have housed, fed me, and taken time to make sure life is starting for me again. I have never felt more cared for and loved. I am so truly humbled and amazed! You all have truly showed me God’s love through his people and how much GOOD he can do through the bad.
I am now moved into a new condo! It’s in the same complex, just on the second floor. It’s smaller than what I was in, so I’m still working on storage and organization ideas (any you might have would be happily accepted) and the décor may have to wait awhile…but I’m beyond grateful and simply LOVE it! Every thing seen in the pictures below was given to me by the kindness of someone else. I am so blessed and cannot express enough gratitude and thankfulness!

Now that I’m finally back on my feet, I’m excited to begin volunteering at the NRG center this evening! And they are still in dire need of more volunteers. I’ve added a link below if you’d like to sign up!!
Also, I am so ready to get back to work— because it's time to start preparing Fall wardrobes ladies!! Planning and knowing what you'll be wearing ahead of time for the season, will make this busy time of year a lot less stressful. As well as ensuring your Fall looks are up to date and you feel fabulous! I will start reaching out to book sessions next week!
Until next time!
Wear it Out!
